the Scott Coffey directed Adult World

September 29, 2011 under Free Movie

The past few years have seen Emma Roberts emerge as an up and coming young actress in films like It’s Kind Of A Funny Story. Her next project, the Scott Coffey directed Adult World, sounds like a good opportunity for her to continue to put kiddie fare like Nancy Drew and Hotel For Dogs even further in her rearview. Adult World centers around a post-grad who aspires to be a poet but gets stuck working in a small bookstore. With a name like Adult World and a setting like a bookstore, is it a stretch to think it might be about an ADULT bookstore? Look, I’m just sayin’. I’m not gross! I’m just supposin’ over here. This isn’t fair. You’re the weird one! Whatever. (The Playlist)

September 28, 2011 under Online Movie

Fox 2000 have picked up the rights to Jeff Kinney’s best-selling novel Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Book, which was published by Abrams in April 2007, chronicles the travails of wise-cracking middle school student Greg Heffley over the course of an academic year, as told through Kinney’s cartoons.

Studio is out to writers and directors.

The book was originally an Internet published comic before being turned into a best-selling book which switches between handwritten text and comic book-style illustration.

No word on whether the intentions are to adapt the book into live action or an animated feature.

keep in mind that Jessica Alba is playing twins in the film. Yes

September 27, 2011 under Free Movie

Let’s get this barbeque f*ckin’ started.

This Labor Day, make room for Machete amongst your ice cold beers and charred hot dogs. The Robert Rodriguez produced film based off the trailer from Grindhouse will hit theaters September 3.

Machete stars Danny Trejo as a blade-wielding Mexican ex-Federale who is double-crossed by a crooked politician. If for some loco reason blade-wielding Mexican’s aren’t your cup of horchata, keep in mind that Jessica Alba is playing twins in the film. Yes, that’s right, Rodriguez DOES listen to your prayers at night, and he has answered them. Who else did you think you were appealing to? (Variety)

other than to say that Batman has been published for 70 years. In the first movie we use Ra&rsquo

September 26, 2011 under Movietickets

Buried in Slash Film’s Batman 3 round up is a telling contribution from screenwriters David Goyer and Jonah Nolan.

Film asked them which villains they were currently considering for a possible Dark Knight follow-up. “We’re not gonna tell you… other than to say that Batman has been published for 70 years. In the first movie we use Ra’s Al Ghul and The Scarecrow, who had not been in the movies before, and had not been in the sixties TV show before. And there are dozens if not hundreds of other characters that fit that bill. Everyone says its gotta be The Penguin or Catwoman… well I completely disagree.”
